HOW TO CONTROL ANGER? كيف تسيطر على الغضب

HOW TO CONTROL ANGER?

كيف تسيطر على الغضب

1. SEEKING REFUGE IN ALLAH SUBHANAHU WA TA'ALA

The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) has said, after seeing two people angry at one another: “I know a word which, if he were to say it, what he feels would go away; he needs to say

أَعُوذُ بِاللَّهِ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّجِيمِ

(I seek refuge with Allah from the shaytaan) and all his anger would go away.”

[Bukhari 3282]

2. CLEANSE YOURSELF FROM ANGER

The Messenger of Allah, peace be and blessings be upon him, said, “Verily, anger comes from Satan and Satan was created from fire. Fire is extinguished with water, so if you become angry then perform ablution with water.” [Abu Dawud 4784 | Hasan]

3. HOW TO AVOID ANGER?

The Messenger of Allah (May peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said to us: "When one of you becomes angry while standing, he should sit down. If the anger leaves him, well and good; otherwise he should lie down."

[Abu Dawud 4782 | Sahih]

4. SEEKING SOLACE IN SILENCE

The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "Teach and make things easy and not difficult. When one of you is angry, he should be silent."

[Al-Adab Al-Mufrad 245 | Sahih]

5. THE TRUE MEANING OF STRENGTH

The Messenger of Allah (May peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "The strong-man is not one who wrestles well but the strong man is one who controls his anger when he is in a fit of rage."

[Muslim 2609]

6. ONE OF THE QUALITIES OF THE MUTTAQUN (PIOUS)

“Those who spend (in Allah’s cause) in prosperity and in adversity, who repress their anger, and who pardon men, verily, Allah loves the al-Muhsinun (the good-doers).” ~Quran (3:134)

7. THE BEST ADVISE

A man said to the Prophet, ‘Give me advice.’ The Prophet, peace be upon him, said, ‘Do not become angry and furious.’ The man asked repeatedly and the Prophet answered each time, ‘Do not become angry and furious.’”

[Bukhari 6116]
